Nike Athletics Far East Launch
In 1977 startte Nike het Athletics West hardloop programma, waar atleten konden trainen voor de Olympische Spelen. De welbekende AW77 hoodie vond hier zijn oorsprong. Dit najaar brengt Nike de Athletics West gedachte terug in hun Sportswear lijn. Speciaal voor de Japanse markt komt Nike met een Athletics Far East concept. Onlangs vond in Tokyo de lancering hiervan plaats, waarbij lokale prominenten op het gebied van mode, cultuur en creativiteit werden uitgenodigd diverse afstanden te rennen.
In 1977, Nike started the Athletics West running program, where athletes could train for the Olympics. The famous AW77 hoodie was originated there. This fall Nike brings back the Athletics West heritage in its Sportswear collection. Especially for the Japanese market Nike came up with the Athletics Far East concept. Recently its launch took place in Tokyo where local celebrities in the fields of fashion, culture and creativity were invited to join several running distances.
