Marathon Speed Training for Ultramarathoners

In this video Ultra Trail Mountain runner Sage Canaday talks about 2 different systems in the body and suggests how and why all runners should do marathon-based, speed training in the form of intervals and tempo runs (while adding hills) in order to help ultra marathon performance. He also advises how to move up to an ultra if you’ve already been racing at the half marathon to marathon distances. Worth the watch.
