Epson Runsense GPS SPorts Watches

Epson Runsense GPS Sports Watches

Epson is commonly known for its ink and printer products, but for a technology company it comes as no surprise it has released a sport watch. The market of sport watches is a fast growing one with lots of companies aiming for a piece of the pie. Some succeed and some don’t. Time will tell in what category Epson will fall. Make no mistake though, Epson has launched a product category called “Epson Active” to venture in the future of wearables by releasing a line of sports and fitness devices. The Runsense watches are the latest in this line.

Runsense GPS watches are aimed at runners of all levels. The watches are shipping in three models including the Runsense SF-510, SF-710 and SF-810. Depending on the model, the watch can provide up to 35 measurements including elapsed time, stride length, distance, pace, laps, intervals, speed and many more. The watches are also water resistant up to 50 meters, making Runsense a good companion to train in any weather conditions or terrain.
All three models do heart rate monitoring, but the SF-810 has a built-in wrist sensor while the other two cheaper versions need an optional chest strap.

Users can download their workouts, stats and measurements either via Epson’s Runsense View portal or the Run Connect mobile app available on iOS and Android . Runsense is also compatible with popular mobile apps such as MapMyRun, MapMyFitness, MyFitnessPal and Strava.

The Runsense watches, which were released in stages are now also available in the US and have been endorsed by marathon runner Meb Keflezighi.
