For those runners looking for something different to wear than shiny, bright and logo branded apparel, Iffley Road might just be up their alley. The brand sets out to create running wear, which is equally technical but tailored, in muted colours with a lovely soft old-school feel.
Based in West London, all garments are designed locally and manufactured in Portugal, using carefully selected fabrics from European mills. The company’s name comes from the Iffley Road track in Oxford where Roger Bannister, paced by Chris Brasher and Chris Chataway, ran the first sub four-minute mile on May 6th 1954. Iffley Road chose the name to evoke the great heritage of British running.
The Iffley Storm Jacket is designed to keep you out running in all weathers. The jacket features a highly technical three layer Italian soft-shell, incorporating ActiveCollant ™ technology, which is waterproof, windproof and breathable. It is also soft, lightweight and flexible. Like all Iffley Road garments the Storm Jacket has a relatively slim, straight cut to prevent flapping. The sleeves are cut sufficiently generously to allow free arm movement but without being baggy.
