De schoenen met de zakken zijn weer terug! KangaROOS oprichter Bob Gamm kwam meer dan 30 jaar geleden op het briljante idee om zakken aan zijn schoenen toe te voegen zodat hij zijn sleutels kwijt kon tijdens zijn rondje joggen. Het aloude sleutel probleem, dat we tegenwoordig nog steeds kennen, scheen hiermee opgelost te zijn en vele joggers op de wereld waren Gamm hier dankbaar voor. Eind jaren 70 was de oprichting van KangaROOS een feit en al snel een groot succes, zowel bij hardlopers als basketballers.
De ROOS, zoals de Amerikanen de merknaam liefkozend noemden, is met de z.g. ‘heritage line’ weer helemaal terug. Zo is de CoilR1 een top hardloopschoen uit 1989 dat gebruik maakte van het legendarische Dynacoil systeem, ontworpen door de NASA. Dit systeem zorgt zowel voor comfort als duurzaamheid en uitermate geschikt voor een stukje rennen door de straten.

The shoes with the pockets are back! KangaROOS founder Bob Gamm had more than 30 years ago the brilliant idea to add pockets to his shoes where he could stuff his keys during his jog. The old key problem that we still know today, seemed to be solved and many joggers in the world were grateful to Gamm. Late 70’s KangaROOS was established and soon a huge success, with both runners and basketball players.
