on Sunday 30th October the Osaka Marathon will take place. To cel­e­brate this event Japanse brand Mizuno has released a spe­cial Osaka Marathon Edition of its Wave Inspire 8 run­ning­shoe.
The color of the lim­ited edi­tion Wave Inspire 8’s was inspired by Aizome, the name given to the tra­di­tional Japanese art of using indigo dye to cre­ate beau­ti­ful fab­ric. In Japan dur­ing the Meiji Era, The for­eign trade ban was lifted, and the expor­ta­tion of Aizome indigo dye cloth flour­ished. To this day Aizome remains a sym­bolic rep­re­sen­ta­tion of Japan’s his­tory, which Mizuno is hon­or­ing through this lim­ited edi­tion Wave Inspire 8.
