It was a cold and wet 119th Boston Marathon edition this year but competitors were mostly spared steady rain.
The 2015 men’s elite race was won by Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia for the second time in three years in 2 hours 9 minutes 17 seconds. Caroline Rotich of Kenya won the women’s elite race , finishing in 2 hours 24 minutes 55 seconds.
For those that are still in the Boston Marathon spirits, Nike is offering a special version of its latest Nike Free 5.0 running shoe as well as the Air Zoom Vomero 10. Both shoes are dressed up in the marathon’s two primary colors – blue and yellow and wear the slogan “We Run in Mass” as a subtle tribute. The pack comes in both men’s (blue) and women’s (yellow) models.
The Nike Air Zoom Vomero 10 provides a combination of soft yet responsive cushioning with lightweight Nike Zoom Air and an all new ultra-plush Lunarlon foam. The Nike Free 5.0 offers excellent lightweight cushioning and support while enabling a more natural running experience and is ideal for runners new to Nike Free.
Both models will soon come available at nike.com.
