The Nike Air Huarache was orig­i­nally released in 1991 as a run­ning shoe. A run­ning shoe with a look and fit like no other. The inspi­ra­tion for the con­cept of the ‘huarache fit’ came from the old Native American san­dal called Huarache. The Huarache fit con­sisted of a sock and a min­i­mal upper.
Next year we will see the return of the breath­able and light­weight Nike Huarache once more. This time with a Nike Free sole.
