Nike LunarEclipse+ (wmns) exclusive at Run2Day
De LunarEclipse+ is het nieuwe topmodel uit de Lunar serie van Nike. Net zoals de LunarGlide en de LunarElite is de LunarEclipse voorzien van het ‘Dynamic Support’ systeem. Dit systeem bestaat uit een Phylon tussenzool die voorzien is van een kuip over de gehele lengte. De diepte van deze kuip is aan de binnenzijde van de schoen minder dan aan de buitenzijde. Door deze kuip te vullen met superelastische LunarFoam ontstaat een schoen die ondersteund wanneer nodig. Dit betekent dat lopers die minimaal overproneren net zo goed op de LunarEclipse uit de voeten kunnen als mensen die fors overproneren.
De LunarEclipse onderscheidt zich van zijn broertje LunarGlide doordat de maximaal geboden ondersteuning forser is en de Lunar Laag dikker is, met name onder de voorvoet. Verder is de schoen voorzien van een ‘zwevende’ hielcap. Dit betekent dat de hielkap niet aan de tussenzool gekoppeld is. Hierdoor is de tussenzool gemakkelijker te vervormen en biedt de schoen meer comfort. De LunarEclipse is dus de stabielere luxere grotere broer van de LunarGlide.
Tot en met januari 2011 is de LunarEclipse+ exclusief verkrijgbaar bij Run2Day en de run2daywebshop.

The lunarEclipse + is the new topmodel of the Lunar series by Nike. Like the LunarGlide and the LunarElite the Eclipse is equiped with the ‘Dynamic Support’ system. This system consists of a Phylon midsole fitted with a bowl over its entire length. The depth of this bowl on the inside of the shoe is less than on the outside. By filling it with super-elastic LunarFoam it creates a shoe that supports when needed. This means that runners who barely overpronate are as much helped with the LunarEclipse as people that significantly overpronate.
The LunarEclipse is different from his brother because the LunarGlide provides a more robust support, and the Lunar layer is thicker, especially under the forefoot. Furthermore, the shoe features a ‘floating’ heelcap. This means that the heel is not linked to the midsole. This makes it easier to deform the midsole and the shoe provides more comfort. The LunarEclipse is the bigger brother of the more luxurious stable LunarGlide.
