The Gyakusou collection combines top Nike Running and Research Lab innovations with the esthetic style and fabric insights of Tokyo designer and runner Jun Takahashi. This collaboration has signified a revolutionary rethinking of modern running apparel since the debut of the first collection.
Starting from the bottom up, the Gyakusou collection utilises moisture wicking Dri-Fit fabrics for a selection of base layers, with ergonomically panelled tights designed to be worn underneath lightweight shorts, packed with utilitarian detailing.
The collection’s outerwear is equipped with Nike’s Sweat Map technology and a carefully placed ventilation. To provide warmth when needed on colder runs, Therma-Fit polyester wool and Aeroloft 800 technology have been used in the top layers.
As always, the Gyakusou collection’s palette reflects the designer’s signature urban-rural sensitivity with understated city hues and natural tones. The men’s collection features dark obsidian, deep smolder, black, dark armory blue, bog green, armory navy and dark grey, while the women’s collection presents grand purple, vintage green and light bone.
