What the Gel Kayano is to ASICS and the Pegasus to Nike, is the Ride without a doubt to Saucony. The Ride is a neutral and traditional running shoe that fits the needs of the mainstream runners perfectly. With its moderate support it makes for a good and reliable daily trainer. And that’s exactly what the Ride and forementioned shoes have in common. They’re traditional, core, cushioned, supportive and tested to the bone. Exactly what the mainstream runner longs for, a shoe that they can rely on and trust out on a run. And that trust is based on sometimes a long relationship between the owner and the shoe model.
With trends and running philosophies that come and go, the mayor brands never saw any good in changing a winning horse. Neither did Saucony and so they have updated their trusty Ride and answered the call of a large following of neutral and supportive trainers. The update introduced increased flexibility and an upgrade to Saucony’s premium PowerGrid cushioning for increased durability without adding weight.
The Saucony Ride 7 is scheduled for a release in June.
